What is Campus Pantry?
Food insecurity – the lack of reliable access to sufficient quantities of affordable, safe, nutritious food – is a national issue with local impact affecting some students, faculty and staff in our own campus community.
Mission Statement:
“The University of Maryland Campus Pantry’s mission is to alleviate food insecurity among UMD-College Park students, faculty and staff by providing emergency food to University of Maryland College Park students, faculty, and staff in need.”

To help raise awareness of food insecurity within our campus community and de-stigmatize community service as a requirement but to encourage student engagement to foster a sense of community, volunteerism and service to peers.
