America Reads*America Counts
The mission of America Reads*America Counts (AR*AC), a partnership between the University of Maryland and Prince George's County Public Schools, is to provide a high quality mentoring program that enriches learning opportunities for both college and elementary school students.

College Mentors for Kids UMD
The University of Maryland chapter of College Mentors for Kids serves 40 kids from a local elementary school. Each week, these students are brought to University of Maryland for two hours after school to spend time with their mentors while participating in hands-on activities that allow them to explore the college campus and expose them to new opportunities.

Lazarus Rising
Lazarus Rising aims to effectively and efficiently combat homelessness through the provision of job placement skills. We empower our participants through personalized resume reviews, mock interviews, and job search portal navigation at absolutely no cost to either our participants or our community partners.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance / Terp Tax
The purpose of VITA at UMD is to provide the undergraduate, graduate, and local community with free tax preparation services. We serve low-to-moderate income taxpayers, elderly, disabled and limited English speaking people.
