My name is Rodrigo Nakandakari and I am SUSA's 2023 VP of Diversity & Inclusion. I'm originally from Lima, Peru with roots in the DMV area and I'm majoring in Business Management with a minor in Technology Entrepreneurship. This year, my team and I will be analyzing diversity trends at the business school, training club and frat leadership on the importance of inclusion and equity, and working with Smith stakeholders to uphold our commitment of making Smith an equitable institution for all. Personally, I love to play video games, cook, watch soccer, and be in nature.

Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Responsible for upholding the diversity and inclusion goals of Smith within both the internal and external SUSA bodies. Through three standard projects each conducted on bi-semesterly bases -  audit of SUSA clubs, collection and analysis of club demographic data, and diversity training for club leadership - this committee strives to spur continuous growth in SUSA’s external clubs via regulation and education. This committee also caters events for SUSA internal geared toward enhancing its own senses of community and inclusion.

Hello there! I'm Kaoutar, originally from Morocco but born and raised in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy. As a transfer student, I've embarked on a journey of exploration and growth. I have a deep love for cooking, finding joy in experimenting with flavors and creating delicious dishes. When I'm not in the kitchen, I'm likely hitting the gym, staying active and energized. Traveling to Morocco holds a special place in my heart; it's where I reconnect with my roots, immerse myself in culture, and savor the vibrant atmosphere. Alongside these interests, I have a keen eye for fashion, always staying updated with the latest trends and styles. But my involvement doesn't stop there. I proudly serve as the Student Senate Representative, advocating for the voices of my peers at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Additionally, I'm deeply engaged in student government and Women in Business initiatives, passionate about fostering inclusivity and empowerment. Adding to my academic journey, I also contribute as a TA and Head TA, sharing knowledge and supporting fellow students in their learning endeavors. Moreover, as a Mellon Scholar and John Hopkins University Research Fellow, I thrive in the realm of academia, driven by curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. My diverse involvements and hobbies shape me into a multifaceted individual, constantly seeking new experiences and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
