Hey everyone, I’m Hamid Shabbir and I’m serving as the VP of Events at SUSA. At UMD, I’m involved in Consult Your Community, College Mentors for Kids, and the Ahlul-Bayt Student Association. I love the spending time in nature and I’m obsessed with the Porsche brand. I’m looking forward to hosting more events at Smith and collaborating with our SUSA clubs to grow our school into a community!
Events Committee
Responsible for managing Smith-wide events that seek to bring together the Smith undergraduate community and connect students to career development and discovery opportunities. Collaborates with the Marketing committee to ensure consistent and effective marketing messaging for all events. Relays events budget needs to the Finance committee to ensure proper financing for all events.

Hi! My name is Christine Liu and I am on the events committee. I am a freshman finance and information systems major. Outside of SUSA, I am involved in WBA and Media, Self, and Society Scholars. In my free time, I love traveling, playing volleyball, and spending time with my friends and family.

Hi, I am Jason Zappone and I'm a Freshman on the Events Committee. I am interested in investment banking, corporate finance, and private equity. Outside of SUSA, I am a Smith Ambassador and a member of Carillon Communities. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, cooking new recipes, and watching films—my favorite is The Shawshank Redemption.
