Welcome Back Smith Terps!
We hope you had an amazing summer and are just as excited as we are to be back on campus! It’s been beautiful to see all of you around the halls! There will be lots of fun and new events coming up from SUSA such as our first ever Service Fair. Keep an eye out for that!
SUSA has found ways to still showcase community service in new ways to give back to the community. This semester SUSA hosts its first ever service fair on Oct 6th from 10AM - 2PM outside of the Van Munching Building. There, we will feature some of our very own campus service-based organizations, such as Terpthon and Students Helping Honduras, each working towards an amazing cause! Smith clubs and UMD students have the opportunity to find their niche interests and join their efforts!
Upcoming, SUSA will also be having Service Sundays that will inform and promote service in smaller, easy, and accessible ways.
On 9/19, stay tuned for SUSA Small Acts of Kindness, where we will give examples on small acts you can do to brighten up someone’s life. Tag SUSA in your act of kindness to enter a special Smith merch raffle!!
10/10 is SUSA Sundaes to thank and acknowledge those who came and feature some Smith terps! Come out to the fair to be in the know
10/31 is Spooky Service Statistics, where we kick off our Food Drive and explain the effect of food insecurity in our county.
