Outside of SUSA, Joey is a SmithPeers Mentor, the Events Coordinator of Phi Chi Theta, and a Business, Society, and Economy Scholar. He was a SUSA Events Committee member in the 2019 term and an intern at Allied Global Marketing during the 2019 Winter term.


Community Committee

Responsible for planning and executing multiple community service events throughout the semester. This involves communicating and developing/maintaining partnerships with corporate sponsors, nonprofits, and other clubs to increase service awareness. Also leads a committee of underclassmen who assist in correspondence and execution.

Mahmud grew up in Syracuse, New York and Baltimore, Maryland. Outside of SUSA, he is a member and the Programming Chair of the CIVICUS Living-Learning Program. Outside of academics, he is interested in track and field, clothing design, and sustainability-centered volunteer work. Following graduation, Mahmud is excited to employ his interests in technology and business in the healthcare field.
